President Trump Just Admitted That He Thought His New Job "Would Be Easier"
You know how sometimes you sign up for a responsibility, like making all the cupcakes for the church bake sale, and it turns out to be way more work than you originally thought?
Well, that’s Donald Trump right now.
The President of the United States just admitted that his new job, which he’s only been doing for 3 months out of a 4-year commitment, is more difficult than he thought it’d be. Gimme a break.
First off, who told him this would be easy? Where did that idea come from? You’re the chief executive of one of the world’s most powerful and influential nations. This is not the same as Trump Steaks.
That’s not to say the rest of us thought it was going to be easy for him. But Trump, now notorious for his rhetoric, just himself admitted that he’s a bit overwhelmed during an interview.
“I loved my previous life. I had so many things going on,” he told reporters. And, OK, that’s fair. He was a reality television host with a private jet and billions of dollars. He’s allowed to enjoy that.
It’s this next bit that’s got everyone shaking their heads: “Actually, this is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."
He actually said it. Those words came out of his mouth. And we’re stuck with him for another 3 years, 9 months.
But here’s the most ridiculous bit: Trump’s taken more vacation days in his first few months as President than anyone else who ever held the job, by a wide margin.
How much golf was this guy playing before being responsible for 330 million people?
