Report: Tomi Lahren Has Been Permanently Banned From TheBlaze For Her Pro-Choice Remarks
Breakout alt-right star Tomi Lahren has reportedly been fired from Glenn Beck's network TheBlaze after she came out as pro-choice during a recent appearance on The View.
Sources told Page Six that the 24-year-old conservative political commentator — who was suspended last week after her View remarks — will be permanently banned from the network.
"Glenn is reminding the world of his conservative principles by sidelining Tomi after she insulted conservatives by calling them hypocrites," said one source close to Beck.
Lahren surprised everyone — including her boss, evidently — on March 17 when she told The View's hosts that she's pro-choice.
"I am someone that loves the Constitution. I am someone that is for limited government. So I can’t sit here and be a hypocrite and say I’m for limited government but I think that the government should decide what women do with their bodies," Lahren explained. "Stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well."
But as recently as last December, Lahren deemed abortion "murder" and called pro-choicers "straight-up baby killers" on her popular show, Tomi.
Following her "coming out" as pro-choice, Lahren tweeted that she would "never apologize" for her beliefs.
Beck later lashed out at Lahren on his radio show, saying "it's very, very clear" that someone can want limited government and want the government to "protect life of the unborn" at the same time.
"It takes intellectual honesty, and it takes a willingness to actually think these things through and to do more than just read Twitter or Facebook to get your news and your political opinions," Beck said.
TMZ reported Monday that Lahren and TheBlaze are currently in the process of negotiating the terms of her exit.
"(Beck is) trying to balance being a leading conservative thinker and also someone who can unify the country," Page Six's source said. "He just couldn’t sit by and watch as Tomi Lahren said there’s no way for conservatives to justify anything other than being pro-choice."
