Who doesn’t want Deadpool’s life?

Hollywood A-Lister Ryan Reynolds was just announced as one of GQ’s Men of the Year. As such he gave a wide ranging interview to the magazine, but the highlights have to be his, ahem, extremely honest comments about his wife and family.

No one on planet Earth can argue Reynolds and wife Blake Lively aren’t #RelationshipGoals, but just when did Ryan know that Blake was the one for him?

“Probably after the sex,” was his answer.

The couple’s been married since 2012, but for the first time Reynolds gave some insight into their very first night out:

“…we were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that's open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, 'Want to dance?' No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, 'Oh, I think I just crossed a line.' And then I walked her home.

“And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that."

The restaurant in question is called O Ya, a Japanese spot in Boston. As fate would have it, the couple just spent Ryan’s 40th birthday at a different location of the restaurant in NYC. Blake posted the event to Instagram, saying, “We fell in love at your restaurant in Boston, We stay in love at your restaurant in NY.”

The couple’s family has expanded the past few years, now including two little girls. When speaking about fatherhood, Reynolds is sentimental, but also still 100% Ryan Reynolds.

“I'm on the precipice of having a real American family," he told GQ. "I mean, I always imagined that would happen, and then it happened. Every idiotic Hallmark-card cliché is true.
