As if her viral Saturday Night Live sketch about Ivanka Trump's complicity wasn't scathing enough, Scarlett Johansson roasted the first daughter for failing to use her high-ranking White House role to fight for positive change.

In a talk at Thursday's Women in the World Summit in New York City, ScarJo said she was particularly unamused by Trump's CBS interview from the night prior, when Trump told Gayle King that "I don’t think that it will make me a more effective advocate to constantly articulate every issue publicly where I disagree."

To Johansson, there's a crucial inconsistency between Ivanka's walk and her talk: How can she be a public advocate if she doesn't, well, publicly advocate?

"It was really baffling," Johansson said. "You can’t have it both ways, right?"

Ivanka's unwillingness to be outspoken about causes that she believes in is "old-fashioned," according to the 32-year-old actress.

While Ivanka claims to be a champion of LGBT rights, for instance, she's been silent on her father's recent decision to roll back an Obama-era directive that allowed transgender students in public schools to use bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity.

"It’s such an old-fashioned concept that to be this powerful woman, you can’t appear to be concerned that someone’s going to think you’re ‘bitchy.’ I think powerful women often get concerned with this idea that they’re going to be seen in this unforgiving light," Johansson said. "Screw that! It’s so old-fashioned, and so uninspired and actually really cowardly."

For the record, Johansson isn't throwing potshots at a stranger, as People pointed out: She's actually met Ivanka "several times" before, as they both grew up in New York and have mutual friends.

"She’s a very well-spoken, smart, and intelligent woman. And I think engaging," Johansson said.

But "it baffles me," she added. "The whole situation baffles me."
