Dump Trump! Sears & K-Mart Join Trump Boycott & Remove His Brand From Stores

You know you’re living in politically tense times when even retail outlets are boycotting the President.

Sears and it’s subsidiary, K-Mart, just announced that they’ll be dropping over thirty products from the Trump Home collection.

These are far from the first companies to distance themselves from the President’s name. Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Belk recently announced they were dropping Ivanka Trump’s clothing line. Of course, no one out-and-out says they’re doing away with products because the names starts with a T and rhymes with ‘dump’—they instead cite consumer feedback and product performance. But we all know what’s really going on.

The same pattern is holding true at Sears, there, a total of 31 total were immediately pulled of the company’s websites. This was, according to a company spokesman, a “streamlining” effort.

“As part of the company’s initiative to optimize its online product assortment, we constantly refine that assortment to focus on our most profitable items,” said the same guy, who also felt obligated to mention neither Sears nor K-Mart sold Trump products in their physical stores.

There are still a handful of Trump products for sale on the company’s websites, but all those products have been radically discounted, ostensibly to clear the inventory as fast as possible. So, if you really want a Trump-branded lamp, now’s the time to buy.

Trump himself has yet to speak/tweet on this latest retail coup, but he did sound off on Twitter when the Nordstrom announcement was made:

Because these are the things a President should care about.
