It's pretty amazing when you realize how hard professional athletes work. Sure having natural ability and athleticism is important, but the amount of motivation to stay at the top of your competitive ability gives these stars that final push into an elite category.

It doesn't get much more elite than Brandon Marshall. Drafted in 2006, he's been in the NFL 10 seasons. If you've ever wanted a glimpse of how he and other NFL stars do it, well we have your answer courtesy of GQ:

Fit Speed is a elite training facility located in South Florida. Founded by Matt Gates, this facility has trained hundreds of pros by treating them as individuals and training them to their unique physical skill-sets.

We like the video for this reason, because it doesn't breakdown a specific routine for everyone to implement. Our physical abilities or set-backs are all unique. If we're trying to accomplish fitness goals, whether a six-pack or a six-minute mile, we need to try and fail and find out what works for us.

It would be great to put on two plates for a warm-up set for benching, but if you have long arms that's going to be a lot harder. However with your long levers maybe you'll be great at dead lifts. It's all about experimentation and learning about your body.

Obviously these techniques have worked well for Marshall, here he is pictured doing what he does best:

Oh wait, hold on that's the wrong picture. We meant this one...

Brandon Marshall is a wide receiver who is built like a linebacker, which makes him really difficult to take down. He also rarely gets injured, which he equates to keeping strong through his off-season workouts at Fit Speed.

Fit Speed offers a combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Strength-building and explosiveness but with mobility. Mobility is what keeps NFL wide receivers from getting injured when they catch a pass across the middle.

Here's some other glimpses at workouts from esteemed wide receivers. Looks like those ladder exercises for footwork are really important. Take some notes and remember to individualize!
