She Catfished Her Own Niece And Uncovered A Murder For Hirer Plot

Marissa William's mug shot
Tuscaloosa County Jail

This is really strange one, y'all. Even by catfishing standards, there's something incredibly sinister about this story.

Patra Williams allowed her 19 year-old niece, Marissa Williams, to move into her home and took care of her. Apparently, Aunty didn't have a very good idea of what her niece was like before she moved in, so she created a fake Facebook profile to keep tabs on her.Marissa was not very fond of her aunt. In fact, she down right hated her, and always appeared to be angry with her. Under the account name Tre "Topdog" Ellis, Patra continued to snoop around her niece's life. During their first day talking, she told Topdog she'd have sex with him if he payed her phone bill! They kept talking and Marissa eventually asked "him" to do this one thing for her: murder her aunt. She even gave instruction on how to get into her aunt's bedroom. WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE!?

Marissa was eventually arrested for solicitation for murder. Now 22, Marissa is a fugitive and has been on the run since some time after receiving her probation. Aunt Patra, after three years, steps up to speak her side of the story on Channel 4's My Online Nightmare, premiering on April 12.
