Mom's Worst Nightmare! Step-Dad Charged With Murder After Teen Girls Dead Body Is Found Near Schools
In today's lesson on "How to Not Get Away With Murder", a step-dad is being charged with murder in Pima County, AZ. Joshua Lelevier, 37, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of the 13-year-old, Jayden Glomb—she was reported missing May 10.
Jayden Glomb's body was found, barefoot, the next day in between Empire and Cienega high schools by a housing development worker who was driving by and noticed what looked like a body in the desert area.
Lelevier must not watch a lot CSI or Law and Order because, with all the evidence-covering attempted, it was as if he was trying to get get caught. Although there were theories that the child was a possible runaway, police found that none of her shoes were missing, begging the question, "What teenage girl runs away from home barefoot?" While none of Glomb's shoes were missing, a pair of Lelevier's shoes were missing and shoe prints were found near her body.
There was also speculation that Glomb may have committed suicide after police found that her computer's internet browser contained research on suicide. But police documented that "Lelevier was the only adult home when online searches were made on the girl’s computer about suicide, drug overdoses and blood loss." Police also found blood on the back window of Jessica Lelevier’s Chevrolet Traverse and noted that the tire treads matched tire marks near the area Glomb's body was found.
During his interviews with the authorities, Lelevier denied going anywhere near the area his step-daughter's body was found. However, in true inexperienced criminal fashion, he took his behind back to the scene of the crime and was caught on video security footage in the neighborhood. Video footage "showed a vehicle that appeared to be his Dodge Charger driving toward the scene shortly before 3 a.m. on the day her body was found."

Jayden's mother also told police that Lelevier came back to bed with wearing a sweatshirt when it wasn't even cold outside. Not only was he wearing a sweatshirt, but it was covered with dirt and foliage as if he had been out digging in the desert. Police found the shirt and it still had dirt and plant foliage on it.

The step-dad is being charged with murder and abandoning or concealing a dead body. Bond is set at $500,000 and he is ordered to not have any contact with the family. According to Lelevier's Facebook page, he and Jessica were married in 2014. Be careful with who you bring into your home and around your kids.
