Sterling K Brown Keeps Making History By Winning SAG Award
Sterling K. Brown is that brotha out there doing it all!
Weeks after making history at the Golden Globes, he's done the same at the 2018 SAG Awards when he won the statue for Best Actor In A Drama Series for his role on "This Is Us."
You can tell that when he hit the stage, he was really moved by his win.
"What a blessing it is to do what you love for a living," he said.
"What an honor it is to be recognized by your peers for a job well done. This room is a source of endless inspiration for me."
During his speech, the 42-year-old actor also talked about what it means to be an actor.
"People call us weird and strange," he added. "The truth of the matter is, everybody is weird and strange and we just embrace ourselves for who we are."
Sterling, whose has been in the acting game for over 15 years, ended his speech shouting out those who like him, were out there trying to make it in the business. He told them to never give up.
“Fame won’t sustain you, money won’t sustain you. The love — keep that love alive. It will keep you going.”
After the entire cast of "This Is Us," won for best Ensemble in a Drama Series, Sterling was backstage crying. Don't worry though: These were tears of joy.
"Man, I'm so happy," he said.
"These people, my cast have been so supportive of me ... the fact that we get a chance to share in this moment together? I can't stop crying."
Gotta love a brother who isn't afraid to show his emotions.
Of course Black Twitter was here for all of this:
