Summer Fashion Trends That Girls with Big Boobs Can't Participate In
Summer’s official here! Time to break out the tank tops, bathing suits and summer dresses. But if you’re someone who’s “blessed with abundance” up top, let’s have a lil’ chat first.
Big breasts are NOTHING to be ashamed of. Some women are paying big bucks for what you were born with, after all. But every body type has things that make them look more appealing than others.
We hate to break the news to you but real talk, there are some things that women with big boobs just should NOT wear. Now’s not the time to get defensive. Look at it as our way of helping you to use your breasts to accentuate your beauty rather than make them something to gawk at.
1. Tanks with no bra
Yes, there are some women who can get away wearing a tank top with no bra. It’s good news for women who fall somewhere around an A cup. But once you start entering the “high B” or “low C” world, well…now you’ve got breasts flinging everywhere and nipples that are hard to hide. Not to say that certain onlookers won’t be thankful, but our goal is to have you look more like a fashion plate than someone out of a flick. (If you catch our drift!)
2. Backless tops
Actually, we’re pretty big fans of backless tops. To us, the back is one of the most sensually-underrated body parts on a woman! But if you decide to wear a backless top with no support, the result ends up being more sloppy than sexy. Does that mean you can’t do this look at all? Eh. Depends on the structure and fabric of the top. Our recommendation is to lean against doing it. But if you must, make sure to get some pasties from a store like Target or Nordstrom’.
3. Plunging neckline
Plunging necklines are big this season. That said, the lower the plunge the more your cleavage line will be on display. And if you have big breasts, that line can be pretty prominent. Plus, if you’re trying to pull this look off without showing your nipples, that’s going to make for a really long day (or night). Wanna avoid a nip slip? Nix this idea or wear a really nice lace bra and cami underneath.
4. Cut outs
Cut outs can work. It’s really all about the placement of them. But if you’re trying to wear something where the cut out shows skin where a bra should be, pick something else. For one thing, don’t let fashion magazines fool you. In the real world, women with big breasts tend to have extra skin on their sides and back too (perfectly normal). That's something you might not want seen via a cut out. Secondly, wearing foundational stuff that shows, just so you can wear a cut out outfit, kind of defeats that point. Cuts outs are to show skin. Not fabric.
5. Bandeau bikinis
If you’re planning to lay out on the beach in a bandeau bikini, we’ll let this one pass. But if you’re planning to swim? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Wearing this kind of bikini in the water when you have big breasts is just begging for a “big reveal” that you might not want. Stick to bathing suits that have straps. You need the support. Literally.
6. Push-up bras
Some items of clothing are made for certain kinds of people. More specifically, certain body types. Push-up bras are one of them. Women who want to provide the illusion of having bigger or fuller breasts are who need to make this kind of investment. You? Not so much. Your bra needs to fit and keep your cleavage from touching your stomach. It doesn’t need to push everything up to your neck. If you wanna keep it on for 60 seconds in your bedroom, that’s one thing. Wearing it in public is TOTALLY unnecessary. Don’t be greedy. You’ve already got the breasts. Leave the push-up bras for everyone else.
