Y'all...this is when keeping it real goes too far!  A 17-year-old Memphis boy is fighting for his life because his friend accidentally shot him in the head playing the 'No Lackin Challenge.'

DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS? WELL LET US TELL YOU!!!

It's a dangerous internet game where one friend pulls out their gun on another friend...and then the other friend pulls out their gun too...but NO ONE is supposed to shoot. While this utter nonsense goes down, one of them records the entire thing and later posts it online.

Apparently, "lackin" means not having a gun on you when a confrontation happens. So..."no lackin" means being prepared for any situation.

Y'ALL..WHY IS THIS AN ACTUAL THING???? THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!! PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

Sadly, what was supposed to be a "harmless" game has this unnamed young man in critical condition.

According to WMC News, this went down early morning, when the teen was shot in the head at E's cafe.

An affidavit states that 21-year-old Sherman Lackland was sitting in a booth with two people he knew, playing the "No Lackin' Challenge" when Lackland reportedly accidentally shot his friend with his .40-caliber handgun, Commercial Appeal noted.

After the shooting, a witness said Lackland was pretty upset and was spazzing out. "He started grabbing him and telling him to get up and then he was kind of mad and was swinging stools and stuff," Thomas Fitzpatrick told WMC.

Lackland, seen below, was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Lackland has been clowned all over the Internet, including on a recent segment on "The Breakfast Club," where Charlamagne Da God named him "Donkey of the Day."

"I am so glad to be older and to be grown to be a father and a husband, business owner and a man of God who has no clue what the "No Lackin challenge is at this point in my life," he started off.

"Kids online are pulling guns on each other for fun--real guns. This isn't the Bow Wow challenge, Ok. It should be. Why can't you do the Bow Lackin Challenge? Have kids run up to each other...and pull water guns on each other? Or air guns with your fingers?"

He added, "You have to know that pulling real guns on each other has to lead to someone getting shot."

WORD!

We hope folks out there are listening to that message. PUT THESE GUNS AWAY!!!

Prayers up for this young man, because this IS NOT A REASON to lose your precious life over.
