The 8 Craziest Harry Potter Fan Theories
Crazy fan theories come with the major success of any franchise, but the Harry Potter fan theories are so next level. And you thought 'all was well' after reading the last book. Harry might be immortal, his relationship with Ginny may be fake, and Snape might be his dad. SO THINGS ARE NOT WELL.
Although none of these theories have any validity, it's always fun to see what people can come up with.
1. Harry is immortal.
Think about it. The prophecy regarding Potter and Voldemort states that "either must die at the hand of the other," implying that Voldemort is the only individual that can kill Harry. If this is true, that means Potter will never get to see his loved ones again. Yeah..let's hope this stays a theory.
2. Snape is Harry's real father.
Most fans disagree with this theory, but it's still a possibility. Sure, Potter looks almost exactly like James, according to basically everyone. But maybe, just maybe, Snape and Lily had something going on for a brief moment in time...
3. Ron is Dumbledore.
Wait, WHAT? The theory states that Ron is just a time-traveling Albus Dumbledore. How else would Dumbledore know everything about Harrys' life? Is their another reason why Ron and Dumbledore barely interact throughout the series? Well, as valid as this theory is, J.K. Rowling already debunked it.
4. Ginny tricked Harry into loving her.
Harry's feelings towards Ginny have always been brotherly and platonic until everyone started experimenting with love potions. Coincidence? This would make a lot more sense in the movies considering their connection was basically nonexistent, but we don't think this would fly in the book world.
5. The only reason the Dursleys were abusive was because Harry was a horcrux.
Remember when Ron had to carry the locket around his neck and was a huge mean grump? Well, Harry is technically a horcrux too, right? Maybe that's the reason the Dursleys always seemed to be in a terrible mood. But then again, why didn't this affect Ron and Hermione?
6. Hogwarts never happened, Harry was just crazy.
All those years left all alone in the cupboard must've really got to him. This theory is just plain sad and would make all 7 books and 8 movies pointless.
7. J.K. Rowling is Rita Skeeter.
Yessss! This theory needs to be real. In this theory, Rita Skeeter gets fired for being an unregistered animagus. Instead of just moving on with her life, she seeks revenge on the Wizarding World and decides to expose them by writing Harry Potter. However, muggles see her books as a work of fiction so she just pretends to be J.K. Rowling while enjoying her wealth and fame.
8. We should all be paying attention to Crookshanks.
This isn't too far-fetched. After all, Pettigrew ended up being Ron's rat Scabbers, right? Some fans actually believe that Crookshanks could be somebody important, such as Regulus Black or Lily Potter.
