The 'Cash Me Outside Girl' Returned To 'Dr. Phil' After Rehab & Hasn't Changed A Bit
She's back, hoes.
Thirteen-year-old Danielle Bregoli — also known as the "Cash Me Outside" girl — returned to Dr. Phil this week for the first time since her infamous appearance last fall.
Danielle, who spent four and a half months in rehab, seems slightly humbler than she used to be but is still as smart-alecky and combative as ever: "I made you just how Oprah made you," she tells Dr. Phil McGraw. "You were nothin' before I came on this show."
Well then.
To her credit, Danielle eventually says "thank you" to Dr. Phil for sending her to rehab, and admits she's glad to have gone to treatment because it will help her in the long run (she eventually wants to become a nurse).
The transition from rehab to normal life wasn't easy, though. Danielle's mom, Barbara Ann, said her daughter started to test her the minute they left the treatment center. Right now, Danielle is not in school and spends most of her time on her phone.
"People criticize me and say I'm a bad mom," Barbara Ann said in a one-on-one interview. But "whether Dr. Phil or anybody thinks I'm right or wrong, I always say, 'Step in my shoes and tell me how you could handle it any differently.' "
Dr. Phil *did* have some choice words for Barbara Ann in the episode that aired Friday, at one point bringing up a list of demands and complaints she supposedly sent to the show's staff.
Based on Barbara Ann's reaction to his criticism, it's clear Danielle gets her mouth from her mother:
Dr. Phil also told Barbara Ann he believes Danielle is torn between her public persona and her true self — and that the rift is the root of her issues.
"It's kind of like, she can't get a lot healthier right now because she's got this image that she thinks is distinguishing her on the internet," Dr. Phil explained. He encouraged Barbara Ann to have Danielle to get involved in anti-bullying campaigns to help her recover and improve her image.
Though Dr. Phil believed Danielle was a totally different person during her second appearance on his show, he probably doesn't think so anymore: Right after leaving Dr. Phil's studio, Danielle and her mom got themselves banned from Spirit Airlines for life after brawling with another passenger on one of its planes.
We doubt this is the last we'll see of Danielle and company.
