Good jeans are so hard to find. They are up there with good hairdressers and good gynecologists. Once you find one you love, you can't ever leave them because it was SO HARD to find them in the first place. Jean shopping can be incredibly frustrating. The sizes are different from store to store and there are a million different washes to choose from. You could spend all day just trying on jeans and still not find a pair you like. The truth is you can narrow down what type of jean is right for you before you ever walk in the store. This guide will give you a leg up next time you're denim shopping. No matter what body type you are there is a jean that will fit you perfectly and look killer.

Hourglass Figure

If you have an hourglass or pear shape stick with a high-waisted, slimmer cut jean. A slim cut keeps from adding extra bulk around the thigh area. Another tip? Stick with a solid tone jean. Faded jeans add too much noise to your already curvy frame. Rolling up your jeans can also help even out your silhouette.

Leggy Lady

Your pretty lucky if you're all leg because you can actually pull of those super chic wide flairs with ease. The bulk of the flare works perfectly with you long limbs. You can also pull of jeans with some fading if you like a more rugged look.

Boy Figure

If you're pretty straight hipped skinny jeans are actually the worst jean you can pick. You'll want to opt for either a bootcut or wide boyfriend jean. Either of these will add a little bit more curve to your shape. Skinny jeans can make you look a little too flat.

Plus size

Plus size girls have all the fun with jeans in my opinion. If you're plus size straight and narrow leg jeans work the best. They help accent your curves but aren't so tight they look uncomfortable. You can also pull off the coveted high waist jeans and dark wash that most of us want to wear everyday.

Petite

If your petite opt for a slimmer cut, but not super skinny. You want some curve but not a lot of bulk. If you want a skinny jean and you are petite, try a cropped jean. This will bring attention to your ankles creating an illusion of added length. We promise this makes all the difference.
