The 'Pitch Perfect 3' Cast Had The Most Awkward Reunion Party Ever
If you can't wait until December 22nd for Pitch Perfect 3 (and why is it so far away?), the cast had a theme party that gave us some amazing Instagram pics to hold us over till the end of the year.
As if we couldn't love the Barden Bellas enough, the cast had a kickoff party to celebrate the filming of the third installment. What makes it genius is the theme was "awkward family reunion."
As you can see, they took the theme very seriously. Each of them had a family name and personality and they pretty much all stayed in character all night.
Britney Snow was kind enough to let us know all about this very awkward family via Instagram. There was Anna Kendrick as Martha the "crafty/cat cousin", Snow as "drunk cougar Aunt Sharon", and Kelly Jakle as "Bridget the cultured cousin." Then, of course, there's Grandma Murtle (Anna Camp) rocking it out in the rear, complete with cat-eye glasses and motorcycle gloves. Oh, and don't forget the Cindys, car accident Cindy (Hana Mae Lee) and "Cindy who changed her name to 'Water'" (Chrissie Fit).
The whole family couldn't quite fit into the photo, so Shelly Regner as Aunt Debbie who likes to dress as a duck, took the spotlight in some other pics.
An awkward party has never been so aca-adorable. Also, what an awesome theme! It's so easy and fun, you and your friends could totally have a party like this without having to spend a million dollars on a costume.
The rest of the party really covered all the awkward family bases. Aunt Debbie took a pic with her long lost family members who are fresh out of jail.
The party of was full of selfies and group pics, but our absolute favorites came from the photo booth. "Car Accident Cindy" took to the booth solo for some classic portraits.
This photo proves we need to bring back the "gazing into the distance off camera" look.
If the movie is half as funny as this party, we are definitely in for a treat. The only bad news is that the movie is 10 months away, so we'll have to watch Pitch Perfect 1 and 2 on a loop until December rolls around.
