In the digital age, it's so easy to hate on others. Celebrities are constantly being attacked, ridiculed, and bullied online. The haters are like disgusting weeds, multiplying quickly despite everyone hating them. I'm not sure if that simile really worked, but you get the idea. But every once in awhile, a celeb strikes back, shutting down the hater (or whacking the weed if the simile holds up). These are some of those times:
1. When body-shamers went crazy attacking Ariel Winter for posting this pic:
She shut them down with a savage tweet:
2. Amy Schumer had no time for sexism or slut-shaming!
Check out the 1:50 mark to see the sh*tstorm go down. Amy: 100. Annoying male reporter: 0.
3. Melissa McCarthy schools a critic on how to treat a woman
The lesson? Respect women of all shapes and sizes you dolt! Team McCarthy!
4. After people made mean-spirited comments and jokes about her appearance at the Golden Globes, Academy-Award nominee Gabby Sidibe made a joke of her own:
We laughed more at her joke than the dumb comments from body-shaming pricks.
5. When someone tried to hate on her vocal talent and asked why she was even famous, Ariana offered this:
You can just picture the girl with the angelic voice flipping her hair in true grande-sass fashion.
6. When Liam Payne from "One Direction" got the news that everybody thought he was fat, he quickly responded:
Beware the House of Payne y'all!
7. When Tyra took down the haters and stood up for women everywhere:
THIS. IS. ICONIC! SLAY TYRA SLAY!
8. J.K. Rowling basically took out her wand and fired a sassy curse at this stupid Twitter commenter:
Mischief managed Miss Rowling!
9. Demi Lovato reminded us that love will always conquer hate:
Let's hear it for the Lovatics!
10. When Britney Spears sent a simple message to all her haters:
