7 Disney Characters We'd Vote For In The Presidential Election

Disney Characters
Disney

If you haven't heard, there's this thing called a presidential election happening in November. All kidding aside, if you legit haven't heard, you may want to read up, because...

Down harder than that Jay Sean song!

But let's reset, and think about a presidential election that could happen once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away. If these Disney characters ran for president, I'd certainly volunteer for their campaigns.

Elsa

I need her to wear this dress to the Inaugural Ball!!

It takes bravery to be yourself. I appreciate that quality in people, and therefore feel Elsa belongs in the White House. Her sister Anna, another strong woman, would certainly make a great VP. Plus, how badass would our country be if our president can turn things into ice?! Side-note: that magic may also help with the whole global warming problem.

Aladdin

Coming from humble beginnings, Aladdin wouldn't ever let power corrupt him. When I watched him free the genie as a young boy, I turned turned to my mother and asked, "Why can't someone like that be president?"

Ok. That didn't happen. I actually asked, "When do I get a genie?" But you get my point. Also, Jasmine would be a strong First Lady, following in the likes of former First Ladies Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton. The question on everyone's mind is: Will Abu get the VP slot?

Mulan

Mulan is a patriot who literally does any- and everything to fight for her country. We need such fearlessness and loyalty in a leader. The Secret Service would basically get 4-8 years vacation, because this girl can most certainly protect herself from any threat. She'd also be a champion for women's rights, since she's already proved, in her own life, a woman can do anything a man can. She won't stop until the mirror reflects the woman she sees inside: a freakin' president of the United States.

Nala

Some people may think Simba is the more obvious choice, but to those people I say:

Simba deserted his home and remaining family/friends in a time of crisis. That lion probably wouldn't have returned had it not been for Nala. Even when things get tough, this lioness powers through, never running from problems. She faces any obstacle head-on, and that's why she'd be perfect in Washington D.C. Zazu would obviously make a great campaign manager.

Jiminy Cricket

But people NEED to listen!

This dude could become the conscience of the nation. What he lacks in height, he makes up for in heart and morality. He'd throw everything he had at the job, balancing the tricky task of leading and listening to all those around him.

Phil

We'd have to do a lot of work convincing him to run, but, as he proved with Hercules, he knows what it takes to be a true hero. He's a bit old and grumbly, but like, so are a lot of presidential candidates. I'd also love for Pain and Panic to have changes of heart and join the cause as joint chiefs of staff in the White House.

Mrs. Potts

I don't even have a coherent argument for this one. I just freakin' love Mrs. Potts so much! She'd be an advocate for love and peace. In a world filled with so much anger and hate, she's the cup of tea we could all stand to drink from. Does that metaphor even work? I'm not sure. Regardless, #ImWithHer!
