Losing weight and/or toning up is always a number one goal for many people worldwide. While eating healthy is certainly an answer, you can't just count on eating salads 24/7 to get the muscles and beautiful cuts that you need and want. You have to develop a workout program that targets your trouble areas and keeps every muscle in tact. Luckily, there are workouts that will give you total body strength, targeting a number of muscles from head to toe. So if you're looking to get that total body strength, you won't want to skip these exercises.

Planks are great for your entire body. While it certainly targets your core, there is no doubt that it is beneficial to other parts of your body. Along with your core, it also works your hamstrings and glutes, as well as will help you improve your posture and balance. When performing this exercise, you must note that proper form is key, otherwise you can risk injury and are not putting the right muscles to work. Ensure that your entire back side is flat by not hunching or arching at the waist and tailbone.

Tuck jumps are a great burst of cardio that will cause you to shed some pounds and get those muscles toned. Giving your legs (from your calves to your quads) a workout, you'll also be targeting your core as you crunch in each jump and engage your abs as you bring your knees up to your chest.
