Staying regular is a critical part of staying healthy. It may not be the most glamorous topic, but the resulting figure and feeling from maintaining healthy bowel habits can be quite glamorous. Women who are more regular tend to be fitter and have slimmer figure due to a lack of bloating. Instead of taking a bunch of pills and supplements, here's a list of foods to naturally help regulate you.

1. Apple

What's great about an apple is that beyond it's high-fiber content (over 4 grams), it provides a decent amount of water, which assists the fiber in creating a healthy bowel movement. Word of advice: don't peel the skin of an apple as it contains the majority of the gut-busting fiber.

2. Almonds

On top of the fiber, almonds provide your body with healthy fats; so, you'll have a clean colon and a trim tummy. Almond butter, which is delicious, is another easy way to incorporate this food into your daily eating.

3. Prunes

You've probably heard that prunes have magical bathroom-going powers. Well, you heard right. Because beyond fiber, prunes contain fermentable sugars that can induce a slight laxative effect, helping to rid your body of waste.

4. Kiwi

Kiwis are lower in sugar, meaning they won't cause too much gas or bloating. A cup of this tasty green fruit has about 5 grams of fiber. Plus, you'll get a ton of Vitamin C. Healthy bowels and a healthy immune system? Don't mind if we do!

5. Brown Rice

The secret of brown rice is that it serves up nearly 4 grams of insoluble fiber, which specifically helps relieve any constipation-related symptoms. In other words, this stuff will keep you regular!

6. Water

You know you're supposed to stay hydrated. But did you know that drinking water helps you clean your colon? Think of drinking water like creating a river in your body, a river that flows through and removes all the junk.

7. Broccoli

Eat your greens to stay lean and mean at the gym. Broccoli's got fiber and is chock-full of essential vitamins and minerals. Your body will thank you.

8. Oatmeal

This healthy breakfast offers a 2-for-1 in the form of both soluble and insoluble fiber, which will work together to first bulk up, and then remove stool.

9. Sweet Yellow Corn

Summer isn't over until you enjoy some delicious corn-on-the-cob. Now, enjoy it guilt-free because you know your body is getting the fiber it needs from that delicious summer staple.

10. Coffee

The benefits of coffee are many. Drinking this liquid gives you energy. A cup provides tons of antioxidants. AND, coffee stimulates your bowels, giving you some assistance during your bowel removal. We'll have another coffee thank you very much!
