This Artist's Humanized Portraits Of Famous Disney Animals Are Doggone Cool

Does Disney need a new illustrator? Because we've got just the gal for them.

Alaina Bastian, a cosplayer, makeup artist, and illustrator, draws classic Disney animals as if they were humans and the results are simply mesmerizing.

Alaina told BuzzFeed that she was inspired to draw her Humanized series after seeing her friends' race-and gender-bent interpretations of other characters on Tumblr.

"I've also pulled a lot of inspiration — specifically for The Lion King and The Jungle Book — from the musical and live performances," she added. And in terms of her artistic approach, "I've decided to draw them in the styles of their movies and keep consistent ... features to interpret the character in a more thorough and believable way."
