This Crazy 2000s Trend Might Be Coming Back
Fredric Reshew

Ah, the 2000s. A decade where everyone layered their tank tops, had crazy chunky highlights, and wore their dresses over a pair of flare jeans. Yeah, those fashion crazes were actually acceptable. Some of us still can't believe that the 2000s actually existed, which explains why modern society tries to separate itself from the oddity that was the 2000s.

However, there were some good fashion crazes we got from the 2000s. We still wear oversized sunglasses, we still love chokers, and we're still rocking our punk band shirts.

But hey, what about the velour Juicy Couture tracksuit? If you owned one of these babies, you were an it girl. Sadly, most of our moms would tell us, "You don't need a $200 tracksuit! You're just going to grow out of it!" Moms everywhere: you were right. $200 is a pretty steep price for a tracksuit after all.

Yet we can't help but feel an immense amount of appreciation and nostalgia for the Juicy Couture tracksuit. Not only does it symbolize a period in time where pop culture was at it's peak and our childhoods were golden, but it can make women everywhere feel confident. We might've not been able to wear these super fetch tracksuits when Lindsay, Paris and Britney were, but now...we can. We can all be Queen Bees now. We can all feel like Regina George just for a second. (Because we all want to know how that feels, duh.)

Writer and Juicy Couture enthusiasts Hannah Orenstein told Refinery29," When I zip up a tracksuit, it's my way of nodding to that middle-school girl who so desperately wanted to fit in. It's my way of telling her Hey, it's going to be alright."

Well, that infamous tracksuit is making a comeback. They are currently selling them now for a limited time at Bloomingdales. And yes...they are still $200. Sigh. However, you can buy similar Juicy items on sale at Kohls. Suit yourself.

We'll be dreaming of a simpler time where Paris owned the fashion scene by wearing tracksuits on a daily basis....

Or how JLo made us fall in love with the baby pink fierce-yet-casual look...

And of course, how Britney made looking like a mess chic.

The Juicy Couture tracksuit represents much more than just a few celebrities, it represents a generation. And if you don't think so, please tell us why it is now an exhibit at a museum.
