This Dog Is Recorded Rescuing His Toy On Security Camera And It's Cute AF

Meet 16-year-old Michael Mijares, his girlfriend, Leila...

...and Michael's Yorkie, Lucky, the tiny hero of this tale.

Recently, while hanging out at Michael's house one night, Michael, Leila, and Lucky decided to head out to the patio as they normally do to play Wii. That's when Michael noticed a frog creeping around in the shadows, and freaked out. 

"That's when all of us ran inside and so did my dog," Michael told Buzzfeed. "And at the moment we just left it like that. But then we realized we had gotten it all on camera."

It just so happened that the day before Michael, Leila, and Lucky met the scary patio frog, Michael's parents had installed security cameras on the patio! Thus, the whole ordeal was caught on tape, and when Michael and Leila sat down to watch the footage later on, they noticed that Lucky pulled a very heroic move just seconds after they'd all run inside. 

After running inside, Lucky realized that he'd left his favorite toy on the patio, vulnerable to all the horrors the frog would visit upon it- Lucky couldn't have that. He darted outside, rescued his toy, and sped back in to safety!

A ridiculously adorable dog, a heroic act, and video footage of it? Sounds like the recipe for a viral video which is exactly what happened when Michael posted the security cam footage to his Twitter account.

Lucky's thousands of new fans showered him with praise.

As for Michael and Leila, they still look back at the footage and laugh almost as hard as they did when watching it for the first time. Needless to say, they're super "lucky" to have a dog like this one in their lives.
