This Fearless Waitress Took Down A Reptile Who Didn't Have Reservations At Her Restaurant
Who doesn't love dining in beautiful environments? You get to kick back and relax while taking in scenic views and enjoying delicious food. It's all good until some five-foot long mini-Godzilla shows up.
This was the scene at Mimosa Wines in Australia that had diners screaming, jumping up on chairs, and losing their freaking minds! Luckily for them, a 25-year old quick-thinking waitress saved the day by snatching that goanna up by the tail and dragging it right on up out of there. Let's go to the tape:
The French native Samia Lila wasted no time handling the situation. According to her boss, she is terrified of spiders. But, monster lizards? No problem.
"Just so I have a second to think about what to do, and then I just grabbed him by the tail. The tail was so big, it was easy to grab," she said. "Every time he tried to reach me, I just lift him up. He's quite heavy. I just figured if I do this, he's never going to reach my hand, and I was just focused on his mouth."
Nobody was hurt and Lila has since been nicknamed the "Goanna Girl." Clearly she goes the extra mile, but we're pretty sure that goanna wrangling ain't in her job description, though. Somebody give that girl a raise and a tip.
