This Girl's Responses To Dude's Misogynistic Bashing Of Birth Control Are Absolutely Perfect

Birth control has been a huge conversation piece ever since the election. The elected, and now sworn in, President Trump and his team expressed their thoughts and future plans when it came to abortion, health care, and particularly birth control. This certainly stirred up many emotions for most women across the United States who are firm believers in birth control.

Thanks to the help of President Obama and the Affordable Care Act, birth control has essentially been free for women across America. But this might not be for long when Trump and the Republicans decide to roll back that legislation.

One young woman took to Twitter to express her emotions towards the controversy and received some backlash from what seems a misogynistic and unapologetic male.

"20 year old republican boys seem to know a lot about birth control even tho their favorite form of it is pulling out and hoping for the best" — Makayla

The benefits of birth control are tenfold. They provide better planning for a family, help women who may have certain health issues, and certainly takes a burden off of the healthcare and social services industries due to many "unwanted children" being put up for adoption and in foster care.

Unfortunately, not everyone sees eye to eye and there are Republicans (many of which are male) that don't see giving out free birth control as a benefit. Eric is one example of those men. He sent out a personal message to Makayla after her tweet was posted.

 Makayla's response to his message:

She ended the conversation by blocking him from her account so that he could no longer send her a message.

While Eric so kindly *sarcasm* slut-shamed females who use birth control, Makayla was making a point for the women who cannot afford to pay for their birth control should President Trump make those changes. “My [initial] tweet, while I did use a more comedic tone, was more to stand in solidarity with the women who can’t afford it and especially for those who use it for purposes other than pregnancy prevention. I’m severely anemic, so prior to taking birth control I would pass out on a daily basis due to blood loss during my menstrual cycle every month.”

All we really want is equality and the ability to have as much access to birth control as men do to condoms. So, thank you, Makayla, for standing up for women and bringing this to light.
