This is the Most Significant Reason Being Single is So Freaking Hard

Being single is hard. While many people try to argue with that fact and give you some lame tips about accepting yourself before wanting to lean on someone else... those people tend to be in relationships. 

I understand that being single gives you freedom on many levels. You don't have to check in with someone all the time, you can always be on your schedule, do the things you want to do, and ultimately have the freedom to "dick around" with a bunch of different people, many of which who would not end up being your boyfriend of girlfriend. 

And then of course, yes, I know I don't "need" someone to lean on and that I need to find myself before I go looking around to depend on someone else. Well guess what? Just because I say that being single is hard doesn't mean that single people are looking to depend on someone or need to find out who they are. They've done their time in the single life and I'm pretty sure they know who they are. 

So what is it that makes single life so hard? It's the touch of someone else that is missing in this life. You might say that single people have the opportunity to get touched in any way they want or need, whether by themselves or by multiple people. Sure, singles can go around the block a few times are pleasure themselves like a loved one would in certain ways. While that's all possible, the connection isn't there when you're single.

Just think about it. Just by people watching you can see what you're missing. You watch couples hold hands as they walk, share a hug, a kiss, and a gaze into the eyes. That is what is missing that cannot be replaced by yourself or a one night stand. For those in a relationship, you probably don't realize how often you are touched and take for granted the way you are touched by the one you love and the one that loves you. A touch is an affectionate feeling that is the most significant reason being single is so damn hard!
