Do you ever notice that certain couples just seem to have the ultimate sexual connection and compatibility? A connection that seems unbreakable and the sexual attraction and tension is so apparent? Usually with a connection like that, people can just tell right off the bat that their sex lives must be great.

For the number of times that you've seen this sexual attraction in couples, you may have wondered what it is that makes that happen. Perhaps they're just more romantic and constantly play Brian McKnight songs as they make love in a bed of roses? Chances are, that's not it. There has to be something that these couples have in common that makes the sexual tension palpable. It's all about the couple and the relationship they build with each other that makes that sensuality come out and gives them that lustful love that so many people take notice of.

According to a study conducted in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, this is what those couples all have in common.

Responsiveness

For starters, responsiveness plays a huge part when it comes to having a great sex life. I'm not talking about that instant response from a touch in the right spot, but a general response that makes the other feel special. If your partner feels special each day, they will feel more desirable, not just in general, but specially from you. There's no greater feeling than feeling wanted by the one you choose to love. By being responsive, it means that you two are understanding of each other's needs and desires, not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. Supporting each other's goals is a big responsive tendency that triggers an emotion making one feeling understood, supported, and desired.

Communication

The trigger to being responsive comes from communication. Both men and women want good communication and need it to keep a steady relationship and ultimately a good sex life. Good communication is needed throughout the entire relationship, inside and outside of the bedroom. It's healthy to talk about any issues, concerns, goals, and aspirations that you want in life. It's better to talk about the good and bad rather than keeping it stowed away. So next time, talk it up. Whether it be about sex positions, or something completely off topic, communication is the key to a happy and healthy relationship.

"I Love You"

Don't be afraid to overuse "I Love You", as long as you mean it. It's always reassuring to hear those three words from the one you love, no matter how stable a relationship is or feels. And saying it during sex is always a pleaser. Hearing those words during or after sex makes it feel more passionate and caring rather than just a duty. The strength of those words will mean more to you than you know.

Have Fun With It

Sex shouldn't feel like a task that needs to be done. "Oh, it's been a few days. I guess we should have sex." Those words don't sounds too promising from a couple who has a good sex life. Those that have a great sex life can have fun with it. Whether that means being more playful in bed or leaving little love notes for your loved one to find, giving your sex life a little bump in the action can make a world of difference.

Work It Out

If you don't already, working out together can give you a big boost in your relationship. Couples who workout together form strong bonds and that leads to a happier and healthier relationship. Not to mention, creates a great sex life. Working out releases endorphins that can ignite a spark in your love and lead you to the bedroom. There's just something sexy about watching each other sweat during a workout. Getting fit will make you feel happier, healthier, and sexier, which can only contribute to great sex. Let's talk about stamina, baby!
