This Old School Wendy's Training Rap Makes Us Embarrassed For The '80s
Wendy's

Remember when you used to work retail or fast food jobs and they'd have you watch some training video? Even though they could have told you everything that was on the video in about two minutes, you had to sit through some ten year old tape about the dangers of deep fryers.

If you thought that was terrible, you have to watch this Wendy's training rap. Yeah, you read that right. The best way the fast food chain thought to teach there employees was through a Wendy's training rap.

To make it worse, it's from the '80s with a perky blonde girl spittin' rhymes.

At least this is only two minutes long, so annoyed teenagers wouldn't have to sit too long watching this abomination. But this rap is just about how to serve cold drinks. They made a song that only goes over the details of cold drink service. If you had to go sell somebody a coffee, you'd be screwed, because you only went over the differences between the amount of ice in pop versus cold tea.

Also, they always say cold tea instead of iced tea, which I don't understand. Maybe they didn't want to say anything close to a real rappers name, but they start the video off saying "Biggie." Sadly, they don't mean Notorious B.I.G., but the Biggie sized drink cup.

If you're too embarrassed for the' 80s to sit through the video here's one notable line:

"For lemonade things stay the same, half full with ice, I said it again."

"Same" and "again?" That is some lazy rhyming.

Now, don't worry that the employees never learned how to do anything but fill cold drinks. Wendy's had a rap for almost every aspect of the job.

Here's one about how to use a grill:

It's called "Grill Skill" and it has its own theme song before the rapping portion begins. Fingers crossed they put out a full soundtrack of these radical tunes.

The raps about grilling and cold drinks were such hits, they had to drop a sequel. That's where how to handle hot drinks comes in.

This one takes a break from the sick beats and rhymes and gives you a more El DeBarge, adult contemporary R&B vibe. It's a nice palette cleanser after all that hardcore hamburger and pop talk.

Anyway, these videos are straight up hilarious. And to think of all the time and money spent on making these full music videos just to teach people how to fill cups with ice! Please, if any actor/rapper from any of these videos is around, please contact us so we can salute you like the hero you are.
