Anyone who watched Laguna Beach growing up, aka everyone, knows how important a promposal can be. How someone asks you to prom is basically more important than actually going, honestly.

People can do some pretty elaborate stuff in the way of asking someone to prom. There's the ever popular sky-writing route, or you could just ask someone out via well-arranged pepperoni slices.

There's no wrong way to do it; besides, of course, just asking someone out directly. That's not acceptable. But one Ohio couple just put everyone to shame with their original and totally adorable promposal story.

Claire Short and Joran Fuller are two high school lovebirds who met during gym period, according to People Magazine. Both of them are long distance runners (an important detail, since all Nicholas Sparks-esque love stories require a signature twist).

Joran and Claire had only been dating for two weeks when he executed an epic promposal, further proving the hypothesis confirmed by The Titanic and Romeo & Juliet—it's not about the years in your love, but the love in your years. Or something like that.

Anyways, here's how it went down: Claire was feeling sick, so Joran stopped by her house with breadsticks (weird but we'll go with it), popcorn and flowers, and then he asked her to log onto a running app called Steva.

Dun dun dunnnn. The app revealed the last run Joran took, which spelled this out:

Get it? This is some next level creativity (and physical exertion, because 5.5 miles ain't nothing.)

Claire obviously said yes because who could say no, and they're going to live happily ever after way past prom, or at least up through college, we hope.

Don't worry, it gets cuter when you hear what Jordan said about Claire to People Magazine: "She's so funny, it's the first thing I noticed about her... I knew she would appreciate it and she did. She laughed at it and thought it was so cool with us being runners. And then she gave me a hug!... she's one of the smartest people I know... She's also so nice and can get along with anybody. We've only been dating for two weeks, but I'm lucky!"

No pressure, Claire and Joran, but the entire world is now rooting for you both to get married.
