Tina Knowles And Hubby Richard Lawson Are Proof That You Can Find Love Again

Breaking up is hard to do. And when you are the mother of two superstars and have to do it in front of the entire world, matters can only get worse. Beyoncé and Solange's mother Ms. Tina (Knowles) Lawson can tell you all about it. After being married for almost three decades, Ms. Tina filed for divorce in 2009. She was 57, in 2011, when it was finalized and was left asking herself, where do you go to find love again?

Apparently, Ms. Tina only had to look right under her nose. Actor Richard Lawson and the new divorcee had known each other for as long as she had been married. Her best friend Monica reached out to Richard in hopes that he could introduce Ms. Tina to some of his friends. He immediately threw his hat into the ring, but the ladies were not feeling him at all.

"She called him and asked him to introduce me to some men and I thought, 'My God, I just seem so desperate," she told former Essence Beauty Director Mikki Taylor. "Me and Monica both said 'Hell no!'" Ms. Tina knew that the ladies loved Richard and she did not want to spend all of her shooing birds and swatting flies.

Lawson's friendship, support, and patience paid off in spades. It turned out, he was every bit the man that she had prayed for. They really enjoyed each other's company and became the best of friends. The two lovebirds said their vows in 2015 and have been sharing their bliss with us on social media ever since.

So, while you never know when and where you'll find "the one," sometimes lightning can strike twice. Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson are proof that you can find love again.
