Hit The Road! U. Of Alabama Expels White Student For Racist MLK Rant!!!
Well, well, well...
Racists are slowly learning that yes, you have the freedom to say what you want, but that doesn't protect you from the consequences of your words.
Just ask Ms. Harley Barber, the little sorority girl who went viral for her racist videos. It looks like the University of Alabama has had enough and HAS FINALLY EXPELLED HER!!!
As we all know, a series of videos that Harley created went viral earlier this week. In one of them, she stresses: “I don’t care if it’s Martin Luther King Day, n*gger, n*gger, n*gger, n*gger. I’m in the south now b*tch, so everyone can f*ck off."
Yeah, she tried it.
But after much pressure, which we assume that came from all the national news spotlight on the issue, on Wednesday, January 17, UA President Stuart Bell announced that they had expelled Barber. #GirlBye
“In light of the racist and disturbing videos posted by one of our students on social media, I want to express my personal disgust and disappointment,” he said in a statement.
Bell added: Like many of you, I find the videos highly offensive and deeply hurtful, not only to our students and our entire University community, but to everyone who viewed them. The actions of this student do not represent the larger student body or the values of our University, and she is no longer enrolled here."
"We hold our students to much higher standards, and we apologize to everyone who has seen the videos and been hurt by this hateful, ignorant and offensive behavior. This is not who we are; it is unacceptable and unwelcome here at UA. These types of incidents affect community members differently. If you have been impacted and would like additional support, please access resources here that are available to you on our campus."
Uh huh....
Now...granted this isn't the first time the school has had serious race issues. Either they have had to deal with racist students or their own administration has been accused of racism. But at least--THIS TIME--they showed a girl like Harley the door.
Of course, now that she's packing up her things and heading back to New Jersey to live with her parents, she's crying her Becky tears and trying to show some remorse.
She told the New York Post that she feels really bad for her actions.
“I don’t know what to do and I feel horrible. I’m wrong and there’s just no excuse for what I did."
She also claims that "out of nowhere" she's getting all of these death threats.
Even more hilarious? Her friends told her not to post those videos online and she brushed it off and it did it anyway!!!
“No, I’m an idiot. There’s no excuse. I did something really bad.” Yes, we agree. You are an idiot! #GoodRiddance
