What Would The Spice Girls Be Named Today?

Some of us, myself included, remember the 90s like it was yesterday. And by the 90s, I mean the era of "Girl Power"!! 

If you didn't get the "Spice Girls" reference, then please stop reading because honestly, I just can't with you.

For my fellow diehard Spice Girls fans, I want to share with you something I've been ruminating on. If the 5 gals we love so much got together and formed a girl band TODAY, what would there spice names be? Here's what I'm thinking...

Mel B. (formerly Scary Spice) - Judgmental Spice

Mel B. is literally on every talent competition show. She's been on the judging panel for America's Got Talent, The X Factor Australia, The X Factor UK, Britain's Next Top Model, The Voice Kids: Australia, and RuPaul's Drag Race. So basically, Mel has judged everyone on the face of the planet at this point. But with a powerful voice like that, she has every right to. 

Judge away Judgmental Spice!

Mel C. (formerly Sporty Spice) -  Chilled Out Spice

Mel C. is still making music; she's set to release her seventh solo studio album in October. That's incredible! 

Well done Mel. But apart from that, she's sort of settled into a more relaxed life away from the spotlight. She'll always be a star in our books, and that's what counts. 

Emma Bunton (formerly Baby Spice) - Adolescent Spice

Did Emma really grow up? I mean, I get she's aged, but she still looks like an adorable blonde baby to me. From 2003-2012, she played a recurring role on the hit British series Absolutely Fabulous. 

I'm crossing my fingers for a spinoff series called Absolutely Adolescent (Spice).

Geri Halliwell (formerly Ginger Spice) - Ginger Spice

Some things never change. Once a ginger, always a ginger. Geri was always a rebellious badass. Despite leaving one of the most successful girl bands of all time, Halliwell still managed to have four #1 singles (on top of the 7 she already had with the band). 

If that's not Ginger (girl) power, I don't know what is. 

Victoria Beckham (formerly Posh Spice) - Still Skinny Spice

I had the most trouble with Victoria's new name. She's a fierce mother, a queen fashion designer, a gorgeous model, the list goes on and on. So I thought we'd have a laugh and call her Still Skinny Spice. I mean, it's true! She looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Also, she's married to David Beckham.. and you're not. So she basically wins at life.
