Video Of Black Woman Being Lynched By Two White Men Goes Viral On Facebook

A video of a black woman being lynched by two white men bearing the Confederate flag went viral on Facebook on Friday. And as you can imagine, Facebook did absolutely nothing about it.

According to Mic, hundreds of users flagged the video asking for for it to be taken down. Facebook, however, kept the video up. Instead of completely removing it from the site, they simply marked the content as 'adult,' meaning only users above the age of 18 could view it.

“Facebook is a place where people can share their experiences and raise awareness about issues important to them. However, after hearing feedback from our community, we now limit visibility of this type of content to people older than 18,” Facebook said regarding the video.

The extremely graphic video shows a black woman who appears to be intoxicated. Two white men tighten a noose around her neck, bringing her to the floor. The men continue to pull the rope, and suddenly, the woman's body goes limp. 

After being viewed a whopping half a million times, Facebook eventually removed the video. Considering the video was just a repost, it's unclear where it's originally from. Some sources claim the video is staged and that the woman appearing is a porn star. 

While we can't understand why someone would want to fake something so horrific, we're just hoping it's not real.
