Everything Guys Wish Their Girls Would Keep Off Social Media

When the two of you first got together, you probably couldn’t wait to tell your friends. And by that, we mean the people on your social media sites. These days, it’s basically a right of passage, so he was probably cool with that. Changing your status from “single” to “in a relationship” or posting a pic or two of you cuddled up was fine.

Now? Now you’ve done some things that are a bit of out pocket! Things that could put your relationship in serious jeopardy if you don’t edit your profiles, quick fast and in a hurry!

What could those things possibly be? Check it.

1. Super sexy shots

He’s with you because he’s attracted to you. But that doesn’t mean he wants everyone to see what he does. It’s one thing to have on a sexy outfit. It’s another thing to be taking selfies in the bathroom mirror with nothing on but your underwear. So, the next time you’re posing for a shot, think about why you’re doing it and how your man will respond. Breaking the internet shouldn’t come at the cost of losing your relationship.

2. Your last argument

Calling your girlfriend to tell her how he pissed you off is fine. And reasonable. But why does all of Facebook and Twitter need to know about your latest fallout? People who tell ALL of their business online are usually ones who are constantly seeking out validation. It translates as insecure. No man wants an insecure woman. (Right, fellas?)

3. Pictures of you and your ex

Instagram

If your ex is a part of your past, why (OH WHY) is he in your present via your Instagram account? The Golden Rule applies tenfold here. If you don’t want your boyfriend posting pics of him and his ex, don’t you do it. It’s tacky. Period.

4. Updates on where the two of you are

Instagram

This one is not 100% true for everyone, so run it by him. But if you’re someone who loves to have all of the apps that tell people where you’ve “checked in”, after a while that could get to be kind of annoying. Why does the entire world need to know what restaurant you’re eating at or what movie theatre you’re sitting in? Taking a picture or two of you sharing a plate of fries? Cute. Constantly updating us on your whereabouts? That’s a good way to get your profiles muted.

5. Super personal conversations

He told you he loves you. Congrats! Can you say “I love you too” before tweeting it out? Social media is not supposed to take the place of real communication and intimacy. If you’re talking more to the people online than the man sitting right beside you, eventually it’ll cost you. Trust us on this one.
