What To Do When You're Bored Of Going To The Gym
Tired of hitting the gym? With the intimidating machines, aggressive people, and weird smells, it might be time to exit the gym and find some alternative ways to shave off calories. Check out these gym alternatives:
1. Hike
This is a great way to get out there and enjoy yourself. After a while, the gym can just seem monotonous. The buzzing of the fluorescent light might be driving you a little bit crazy, too. Going for a hike, whether is through some local rolling hills or up the side of a craggy mountain, will give you some much needed fresh air and an intense workout.
2. Dance Class
This will be a great alternative to getting screamed at by your local kickboxing teacher. You can focus on balance and core strength during this one, while also calming your mind and working out mental issues you might be facing. Plus, you get to wear leggings.
3. Yoga
If your love for yoga pants goes further than dancing, then you can always do some traditional yoga. It will be a great exercise routine, both mentally and physically.
4. Paddleboarding/Kayaking
Are you concerned about getting lost in the woods during a walking excursion? This one is kind of like hiking but out on the water. Kayaking will make for a great total body workout and you will slow down and explore nature. Paddleboarding is particularly good for balance and core strength, but will require more mental focus to not belly flop into the water.
5. Pole Dancing
If you want to get a little bit naughty with your exercise routine, then this is the way to go. You don’t have to be particularly good. A little but goes incredibly far with this routine. Your body will be screaming by the time you are done. After all, strippers need some insane strength to keep from sliding down a pole.
6. Trampoline
If you want to get in some cardio without the dreaded treadmill, then this is a great alternative. You can set up a trampoline and get to bouncing. Within minutes you will have worked up a huge sweat, all while having a huge smile on your face.
