'White Power!': Elderly Korean Woman Punched In The Face By White Woman Yelling Racial Slurs
You don't hear this too often: An 83-year-old Korean woman was assaulted by a 27-year-old white woman in Koreatown in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Witnesses on social media claim the suspect, now identified as Alexis Duvall, shouted "White Power!" as she punched the victim.
Uh...what power do you get from assaulting an innocent elderly woman?
Despite all these claims floating around on social media, police are NOT investigating the attack as a hate crime. Police claim no witnesses came forward saying she said racist remarks, but this video says differently:
Hey LAPD...you might want to rethink that.
Seng Vongphrachanh, a Koreatown resident, tried chasing Duvall as she fled from the scene of the crime. Vongphrachanh said Duvall shouted “power is power," the N-word, and seemed "out of it."
It's unclear what Duvall's intention was, however, the LAPD claims she appeared to be under the influence, mentally ill, and homeless, which is never a good combination.
While she was being investigated at LAPD's Olympic Station, she was allegedly shouting obscenities at the officers.
Luckily, the victim is okay. According to Sgt. Randy Espinoza of the Los Angeles Police Department, she suffered a cut on her left cheek due to the fall and had pain in her knee.
Let's hope we never hear a story like this again...
