Question of the day: How far can you go when you're walking by faith?
Meet April Lee Yates. She was arrested in a South Carolina restaurant after eating at a seafood buffet and refusing to pay her bill.
It wasn't that she wanted to eat for free, mind you...just that she herself wasn't going to pay. And--she was hungry! She didn't see it as breaking the law because Jesus will provide. Um, ok we get that...won't HE do it! We're not arguing with that...well not exactly.
Yates needed some divine intervention when she chowed down at this all-you-can-eat buffet, but she had no money to pay. Nada. When the police asked her who would pay the bill, she simply said, "Jesus." As in, our Lord and savior.
Jesus definitely performs food miracles, like water to wine, feeding the masses off 2 fish and 5 loaves, etc. But eating in a restaurant when you know you don't have the money to pay... we ask you--is that going too far people?
Pay up or wash up those dishes, Yates!
Some applaud the 51-year-old woman for walking by faith, but the police didn't. They arrested her and promptly took her to the Myrtle Beach jail.
Moral to the story: Faith without works is dead. Let's hope this is the last supper she tries to pin on the Almighty.
