Ready for the most messed up story of the week?

A Georgian woman has been charged with homicide after leaving her paraplegic boyfriend in the woods to die of exposure.

Ruby Kate Coursey, 27, had been dating Troymaine Johnson, 33, for some time. The story goes, Johnson was planning on going to the store with Coursey, and as such left his wheelchair behind. He was declared missing shortly after.

It was Coursey’s brother and sister-in-law who tipped off authorities to what had happened: the girlfriend apparently admitted shoving Johnson out of the vehicle that very day, leaving him to die from the cold in a remote hunting camp. His body was found three days later, near a gate that had clearly been crashed through by the suspect’s vehicle.

Obviously, Johnson had no way to move any significant distance (paraplegic refers to one's lower body being paralyzed). He died of hypothermia, according to the crime lab. No one’s yet said anything about the motivation for the crime, but Coursey’s being held on charges of felony homicide and neglect of a disabled adult.

Which seems like the most polite terms possible for referring to the heinous crime.
