Ewwww, Who Does This?!!! Women Puts Cheese In Sweet Potato Pie

Black people reaction to bad food
gabworthy

The holidays are here and everyone is pulling out their grandma's recipe to wow their guests. However, if you plan on making a dish that you don't have experience with it's okay to ask for help. At least the people in this video should have.

Case in point. Parmesan cheese in sweet potato pie? No go! Black folks take sweet potato pie very seriously. It's a holiday and family reunion must have. It's so important that the family cook might delegate the task to someone else in the family who holds the family recipe. For example yo mama might cook the whole feast, but we all know Auntie makes the pies. For those who don't know, cheese is not...we repeat is not...an ingredient in sweet potato pie. It's like adding adding beans to spaghetti...now the spaghetti is no longer an Italian dish, but...nasty. C'mon yall were thinking the same thing.

Chuckle at what Black Twitter had to say.

Sweet potato pie is symbolic in Black culture. It represents tradition, good times, home...when sweet potato pie is on the table everything is okay and right in the world.

There's no one set recipe for sweet potato pie. It usually boils down to the cook eyeballing measurements, but for a point of reference if the recipe includes ingredients like nutmeg, cinnamon, butter, and sugar you might be on the right path. But never ever ever put cheese in a sweet potato pie. #justsayin
