Find a smaller, local venue that hosts new and/or independent artists for cheap tickets. LA has a TON of great options, including The Troubadour, The Wiltern, and The Roxy to

name a few; some even have some pretty good artists.

There are plenty of art galleries around from modern, to contemporary, and fine art; there's bound to be something you and your S.O. can agree upon for a more educational  date. They're

normally pretty reasonable, with some just asking for a (optional) donation fee and more often than not they have a free day.

For a fun night of entertainment check out a local comedy club such as The Comedy Store, or even an improv show at the Upright Citizens Brigade, which is where comedian Amy Poehler

got her start. 

It may not be a year-round option, but going to the beach is always cost-effective (heck, free!) and a good way to spend time with your S.O. while also working on

your tan.

Go on a date while also getting in some exercise on a bike ride. Plus, it's better for the environment than driving, and most places in L.A. have

Take your relationship to new heights (literally) and go on a hike together. There's a plethora of options in L.A., whether you're looking for something a bit more intermediate and leisurely, or strenuous

to also get in a good workout. There's something for everyone and the best part is they're all free.

Check out your local rollerskating rink and sync up to your boo during "couples skate" for a night of fun. Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale has open skate every

Saturday night for only $10.

Picnics are a great way to spend some QT time with your boo outdoors at next to nothing with a homemade charcuterie board and cheap bottle of red wine.

Get a little competitive with an at-home game night or head out to a local bar for some trivia to test your dates knowledge. Who knows, maybe you'll even get lucky and win

some random stuff.

Maybe you have two left feet, but maybe broaden your horizon and give you and your date something to laugh at and hit up a dance class together.
