Our world may not be perfect today, but back in the 1800s it was just plain cray. No really, they thought everyone belonged in an asylum for a laundry list of reasons that are just laughable today. Can you imagine being accused of being insane just because you were a bit hysterical, or had a fever, or some bad whiskey? These were actual things you'd get locked up for at Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, West Virginia back then. While some made sense like shooting your daughter or marrying your son, we just had to point out the weirdest ones that made NO sense at all.
