Come on sis, you've been running errands all day, traffic on the roads is tragic, and you STILL have to hit the grocery store AND cook -- you're mad busy.

We get it. Now insert the random brotha who "reminds" you to smile because clearly, you forgot how, or worse, sis never even knew how! Get it together girl.

Again, we get it. We know that you have high expectations, as you should. But is having a 10-page check list that each man has to meet...before he even gets

your number is a bit much doncha think? It's 2018. Expand your options...give a brotha a chance.

Look ladies, you can't be selfish. You can't just "be there" for ya man, you need to really uplift a brotha. Why JUST tell him he can "open up" to

you, or that you "believe in him" when you show him with supportive gestures. You don't have to pay his bills or anything crazy, but help him in ways that

show you care. He will appreciate you both being on the same team.

Now think about this fam. Some men don't want a female who's always changing her hair, switching up her style as much as she changes her clothes. To them, it

ain't natural. So, know who you're dealing with. We're not saying to change your look (or not) for your man. We're just saying...know your audience. Is your flow holding you

back? You may need to seek a different type of guy. Or have that convo up front so he knows what he's dealing with.

Go at your pace. But once you get there, don't be afraid to explore. Taking the lead might be the trick with your next boo.

You got your smarts & education...you go girl. But remember, nobody likes a know-it-all. Don't dim your light for anybody. However, always know that there's more we all can learn

and grow from. Find those areas together with Mr. Right...rather than always telling him what you know. Ya know.

Pretty is as pretty does. Do you...but let him see your just as beautiful inside and out. When that makeup comes off...you're still a queen, sista!

There's a saying, "always tell the truth, but don't always be tellin' it." Don't lie. Don't dim your light. But sometimes just pick your battles. You might not win every

one...but you could win the war...cause it's a battlefield out there finding and maintaining a healthy, long term, monogamous relationship.

The right man will understand this...and appreciate you...all of you. Know that! Keep your options open and have fun on the search. This is real power...not a weakness sista!!

Listen, it's all jokes and giggles, but the truth here is that around 42% of black women are single and have never been married. What does this mean? It DOESN'T

mean there's anything wrong with being single and certainly nothing wrong with you! But ladies, there are slim pickings out there so keep a few things in mind : 

1- Be

more open minded. Black men are more comfortable stepping outside of their race than black women so try something new!

 2- Set standards ladies. DO NOT SETTLE. But don't have a

list of 50 non-negotiables like Chili from TLC because we all know there is a limit!

 3- Be UNAPOLOGETICALLY you! If he doesn't like your hair, value your drive, and match

your hustle in some fashion - He isn't for you. Case Closed. Happy cuffing season!
