Dads have played an important role in television shows for as long as I can remember. Not only do they usually bring humor with their cluelessness and inability to make decisions without the help of their wives. But they're always there to console their teenage daughters after a breakup and scold their sons for being class clowns. 

TV dads are great and sometimes, they're even some of our favorite characters. But sometimes, they're not so great and make is that much more thankful for the ones we have IRL. Here's my definitive ranking of TV dads, from complete parenting fails to best dads of the year. Which one is your favorite?
