Ugh. Before even getting into this kind of unpleasant conversation, here’s the warning: If you’re reading this, it’s probably because something in the back of your head already feels like the person you’re dating has some of these qualities.

That being the case, don’t ignore what your gut is already telling you. A classic definition of a narcissist is someone who either has an excessive interest in themselves or in their appearance. And anyone who is that self-absorbed? They usually have very little room for anyone other than themselves.

But, just in case you need a bit more info to make sure that you’re indeed dealing with this kind of jerk—we mean, person—here are some dead ringer signs to be on the lookout for.
