We tend to associate the term "dementia" with the elderly. But, Dr. Matt Kuchan, PHD, says that's not always the case. 

"Dementia is actually a blanket term for a group of diseases that affect the brain. People with dementia may have problems with daily activities, lose their ability to problem solve or have difficulty controlling their emotions," Kuchan told Isadora Baum, CHC, for Bustle.
