Gallery: How Well Do These Past Oscar Winning Films Stand The Test Of Time?

The Academy Awards have been handed out to the best of cinema for almost a century. In that time almost 90 movies have walked away with Best Picture statuettes. That’s it. 90 movies in all of history have had the honor of being dubbed the Best Picture. Arguably some of those movies are crap. What? It’s true. We can all agree that The King’s Speech did not deserve that title over Toy Story 3. Okay, I am likely the only one still incredibly upset by that outcome. We’ll talk about that more later. Right now, we’re going to look at more than half of the Best Picture winners to see if they were really deserving of their win, if they would win today, and how (if necessary) they’d be different today.
