We already know what you’re gonna say. “Please don’t try and tell me that I should be happy about not being in a relationship this year.” Well, we’re not going for that approach. Not really. Well, more like not exactly.

See, we know what it’s like to not have a partner over the holidays. On some levels, it can indeed suck. No gift. No romance. No cuddling up by a fire (if you’re lucky enough to have a fireplace) while you watch snow (if you’re lucky enough to have snow) fall from your big living room window. We get it. Girl, we promise we do.

So yeah, we’re not here to act like if you want to be in a relationship right now, there’s something wrong with feeling some type of way about the fact that you're not in one. All we’re saying is that sometimes we’re so caught up in focusing on what we don’t have that we don’t see the blessings that come with what we do. Relationship status not exempt.
