Three truly great horror film satires have come out in the last three years: "Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil", "The Cabin In The Woods", and now  "The Final Girls" completes the trifecta.

A girl grieving the death of her mother, a famous "scream queen" of bad 80's horror movies, gets sucked into her mom's most famous flick along with her nerdy horror movie-loving

friends. Will they reconnect? Will they stay alive? Can't say, but there will definitely be blood.

This short film hit the scene this year at SXSW, making quite the slash, I mean... splash! Shot completely in one-take, this impressive, fun, and frightening 11 minutes picks up the story

of a girl who is trying to commit the four cardinal sins of slasher films.

Why is she trying to do this? Was it something from her past? All good

questions. It's a great short that will have you thinking about it well after the credits roll.

We actually saw a sneak peak of "Night of the Slasher" earlier this year and

it just so happens it will be out for release by streaming on Wednesday October 26th. Go check it out! Strongly recommended.

This movie makes you happy you didn't come over on the Mayflower. Set in 1600's New England, this well-paced thriller completely envelopes you in the world as the horrors from the

witch in the woods slowly come to fruition.

This movie is for anyone who ever doubted that Patrick Stewart could play a believably creepy Neo-Nazi. The basic plot is a punk band witnesses a murder in the green

room (where bands hang before and after a show) and suddenly have to get out of a Neo-Nazi club alive. Also one of Anton Yelchin's last films before his tragic

death make it all the more powerful.

A deaf and mute girl is living a quiet life in a remote house. Her story takes a turn one night as she is stalked by some creep in a mask.

Simple premise and utterly pants-shitting movie. Honestly some people can barely make it through the trailer.

Perhaps the mirror image of "Hush"? Don't breathe is about a trio of misguided kids who go to rob some helpless old blind man. Well turns out he isn't as helpless as

they thought. Now they must be as quiet as possible to evade this hunter all while finding a way to escape from the horrors inside his house.

Some people are debating whether this is a horror movie or psychological thriller. I guess we'll leave that for you to decide. Personally the third act leaves no doubts in

my mind about which is which. Truly a nail-biter.
