Gift cards are for people you don’t know. Giving her a Starbucks gift card is basically like saying, “I have no idea what you like but I saw you drink

coffee before, so here you go.” Not very romantic.   

Guys, I’m sure you don’t know exactly what size clothes your lady wears - and there’s no need to guess. If you’re not sure the dress is going to fit, don’t

buy it! Not to mention the fact that a woman's style and fit preferences vary from person to person, so it's not a risk worth taking.

She's not a sports fanatic, don’t buy her tickets to a game. Be real, the tickets are actually for you! You bought them because it’s your favorite team and it’s the kind of gift

you’d like to receive. Stop being selfish.

If it’s not a diamond ring, diamond earrings, or diamond SOMETHING - she doesn't want it. Just kidding, of course (but the jewelry better be semi-expensive). Trust me when I say, no woman

wants cheap jewelry as a gift. 

For most women, this is something she can, and would prefer, to buy herself. Again, fit and preference is an issue. Maybe the two of you could take a trip

to the lingerie store together... 

If you give her a gym membership, she's going to be pissed! From her side, it looks like you think she needs to lose some pounds. Rude. No one wants to be reminded

of their weight...especially from a gift. 

Unless she’s a professional chef, she doesn’t want cooking supplies. Sure, it’s a sensible gift. But it’s not going to make her happy. Cooking supplies, or any type of kitchen

appliance, is the type of gift she'd expect from her mom...not her man. 

Spending a ton of money on an elaborate prank gift, isn’t the answer. Instead of buying her some type of joke present, buy her something she’ll actually use and enjoy.

Maybe your girlfriend says something like, “I don’t want a present, save your money.” That’s a completely lie - she wants a present! If you show up with nothing, be prepared to get

the cold shoulder for about a month.
