It's never easy to watch someone with so much promise hurt their chances at the one thing they've worked so hard for.

What a way to introduce yourself to your girl's family! Toby made quite the impression while leaving us wrecked. Then he had to go and recover, tell Kate he loved

her, and propose. So basically a double whammy of emotions.

Okay, I have to admit that I was skeptical of William at first. Hey, I wouldn't bring someone to the house where my family lives without some background info. That's

why Randall is a saint, and I am not.

Jack has proven time and time again that he's the best dad ever, on or off screen. And him doing all those push-ups in front of Randall's class to prove

that he could carry the weight of the world and his son was just one of the many moments that left us with so many feels.

On the show, Kevin's on-set breakdown was seen as hilarious, going viral. We didn't see it that way. All we saw was a man who was starting to spiral...and spiral

he did.

If there's one thing "This Is Us" is amazing at, it's keeping fans in the dark. Here we were for some time wondering where Jack was. We'd seen Rebecca married

to Miguel, but where was Papa Pearson? OMG, HE'S DEAD AND IN AN URN THAT KATE WATCHES THE SUPER BOWL WITH EVERY YEAR!

After Kevin got busted for a DUI and wound up in the nicest looking rehab facility ever (fun fact: that was where Justin Hartley got married in real life), his

family came up to join him for a therapy session. Words. Words were said. Things got so heavy that Rebecca basically screamed to the world that Randall was her favorite.

Which, can you blame her? Even though it was like, well duh Randall's the best, we still cried because it's hard to see the Pearsons like that.

Everyone the Pearsons come in contact with matters. Everyone. They all eventually come back into play and one of our favorites is Dr. K., so when we saw a bit

of his backstory, saw a heartbroken man who couldn't move past the death of his wife, we lost it.

After Randall and Beth agreed to become foster parents, we were introduced to Deja. It took about five seconds for us to become enthralled with the broken teen. Then we

met her mother in prison after she denied seeing her on visitor's day. Talk about heartbreak.

Anyone who has ever been the fat kid 100% sympathizes with every thing Kate goes through involving her weight. The scene where she was shamed for wearing a t-shirt at

the pool...we were in tears, but also wanted to jump through the TV and yell at the bullies who gave her the rotten note. Thankfully, Jack was there to lift

her spirits, which made us cry all over again.

Randall and Kevin have always been at odds with one another. It has been a constant in their storyline from childhood through to the present, but on a camping trip

we see Kevin find a notebook. His brother has filled it with ways to help ease things between the two. How. Freaking. Cute! With that, a pint-sized Kevin tries to

make an effort to keep the peace.

She and Toby were so happy about being parents, and we were right there with them. We can all agree that was one of the hardest episodes to watch, but

when Rebecca flew across the country to console her daughter, that was just the emotional cherry on top.

Knowing that a package containing a baby-related item would send his fiance over the edge having just lost their own, Toby went above and beyond to get it before it

arrived. We were on edge the entire time, like...oh my lawd, he better find it! Then he did, and the world was a little bit brighter.

There is one Pearson we'll never get to meet, and that's Kyle, the triplet that died during delivery. Watching Rebecca hear the news touched us all. It was at that

moment we knew that this show was going to be a rough one to get through.

For real, our hearts cannot take any more surprises. For a while, we thought Randall and Beth were about to foster a little boy. Come to find out that little

boy was years in the future and his social worker was none other than their daughter Tess. Why the tears? Well, they were happy ones of course because we saw

how much her parents opening up their home to foster kids inspired her future career.

Of all the Kevin and Kate moments that have happened so far, there is one in particular that really sent us running for the tissue box. When they were little,

Kate wanted to hold hands with her crush in the haunted house. When Jack saw that she got to, he was elated. He (and the rest of the world) was

touched AF to see that Kevin had given Kate's crush all of his candy to make his sister's night.

Before he left us (too soon, may I add), we got to see what William's life was like before Randall came back into it. He was doing well in Memphis

until he decided to move to Pittsburgh to take care of his ailing mother who had cancer. After she died, William met the woman who would become Randall's mother. She

got him addicted to drugs then died during childbirth. Then he got sick himself. William is the definition of a beautiful tragedy.

It's obvious that Rebecca's mom treats Randall differently than Kate and Kevin, but when she's called out about the racism, poor Randall overhears. Racism is one of the hardest conversations

you have to have with your child, especially if it's about the racism in your own family.

At this point, a wall could be the focus of an episode and it'd be emotional. Clooney is an alley cat that William takes in and well, anything associated with

William causes us to get a little weepy, okay?

While Jack is the greatest dad, his was not. He was an alcoholic that never seemed to get it together and we didn't really care for him. But that doesn't

mean we wanted Jack to not care about heading to the hospital when the dude was on his deathbed.

It was a very low-key moment, but remember that time Toby told Kate that he attempted suicide once before after he split from his ex-wife?

Why didn't anyone write a reminder to pick up batteries for that damn smoke alarm? I still remember my reaction at the end of that episode, "Oh hell no. A

post-it note could've saved Jack!"

We didn't know for a long time what William was up to the day Randall showed up out of the blue. Turns out he was clean for three decades, about

to shoot up after learning he had cancer, but then answered the door to find his long-lost son. Thank you for knocking Randall, thank you!

We'd yet to learn how Jack died. All we knew was that Kate had yet to move past it. Then she went to that weight loss camp and let it

out in a fierce scream. While her dad's death still looms over her, at least she got that moment of peace.

We have heard about Jack's brother twice but were absolutely shook the first time. There was a flashback of a very young Jack sitting in the car waiting for his

dad, and BAM out of the back seat came a brother! For a split second, we were excited. Could we have another hot Pearson man on our hands? NOPE. He

obviously had to die in Vietnam and break our hearts before we even got a chance to fall in love.

My fiance hates to watch "This Is Us" because he hates to cry. So he went for a walk when I turned on "Memphis," AKA the episode where William passed

away. When he walked in the door about an hour later I was crying so hard it looked like someone in my life had really passed. That still stands as

one of the most emotional episodes of the series so far.

No one ever thought that it was hard for Jack and Rebecca to have Randall in their lives. Then we were hit in the face with the adoption process and

how they were denied at first. Um, really? Guess the court was unaware of Jack's greatness. We all know now that it was all good in the end, but that

initial denial hurt.

When Kevin's one-night stand refused to let him back in for his dad's necklace...I was livid. I think we all were. Imagine losing the one physical reminder of your parent

like that? When he got it back, I took back my threats against the woman who wouldn't let him look for it.

Everyone in the world screamed at the top of their lungs when Jack went back in the house. WHY?! Then he came out with the dog, photo albums, and the

necklace his wife cherished. The world did not deserve such a wonderful man.

On Halloween, some random neighbor talks about Kyle in front of Randall. Then Rebecca has to sit her son down and have one of their big talks. When he said

that Kyle would’ve looked like them and he looks like nobody...how does your heart come back from that?

Ooh, when it came to light that Rebecca had known William this whole time we were all in shock. When Randall found out, we were all in tears because he

was heartbroken that the woman he trusted most in life had kept the biggest secret from him for far too long.

Knowing that Kevin and Randall aren't necessarily the closest of siblings, when he misses his performance to help Randall deal with a meltdown at his office - we were balling

for weeks. From Kevin's selfless act for his brother to Randall's tears, it was all too much to handle.

After hitting double digits, the Big 3 didn’t want to share their birthday anymore, but when only a few kids showed up to Randall's party, we were highly upset. How

dare those kids!

Ever since we saw the urn, we had been waiting for THIS episode. The one where we finally see Jack pass away. It's hard to pinpoint the most tear-jerking moment:

Rebecca being in total denial, Rebecca having to be strong for her kids, Rebecca's breakdown in front of the house. In an episode where we were definitely upset about losing

Jack, we were even more distraught over the woman who lost her husband.

We had seen a piece of the funeral in the past, but Dr. K showing up with his words of wisdom made an impact like no other.

This one scene made us all look at our own partners like, "Okay, so what do you have to say?"

We see in a flashback that there is a bridge that Rebecca is terrified to drive over. Jack bought some concert tickets before he died, and the night of his

funeral, Rebecca says they should go because it's what Jack would've wanted. She then has to cross that bridge. The symbolism, y'all. Facing her fears, head-on, for her family!
