Disney didn't do themselves any favors by reviving Disney Channel Original Movies with one of the worst possible remakes. The classic Adventures in Babysitting featured some date rape and homophobic jokes,

so it wasn't all that great either, but the movie was about a group of stranded kids getting through the nitty gritty of Chicago. The remake was Disney-fied and turned

into a cliche "learning to get along" movie. 

Camp Rock gets mixed reviews but anyone who watches this movie more than once learns quickly that they've made a mistake. While the songs can be catchy, Disney was

trying to build off of the success of High School Musical and they did not succeed. Appreciate the vocal talents of Demi Lovato and The Jonas Brothers in the albums

they've produced, but don't waste your time on this movie. 

Lindsay Lohan was phenomenal in Parent Trap, which started her Disney career. Not all her movies were successes, though, and Get a Clue was one of them. Basically Harriet the Spy,

this movie did not do the child detective role justice.

Everyone loves a good story about rich girls who learn about the other half and change, but Cow Belles was laughable in how they accomplished this. Aly and AJ

have beautiful voices, though, and listening to the movie's music is what made it worth watching.

Princess Protection Program is a throwback to when Selena and Demi were besties. The movie was about a princess (Demi) who needed hiding by a military professional and his daughter

(Selena) who couldn't stand her. While it's nice to see their friendship flourish, the level of extravagance this princess needed could give Duchess Kate a run for her pound.

You'd get a little starstruck if you ran into your favorite celeb, but you're not likely to kidnap him, are you?

Seeing Tia and Tamera reunite as sisters in Sister, Sister was amazing! Twitches was overkill with the rushed storyline and polar opposite behavior of the characters. If it

weren't for the twin storyline it could've made a decent Halloween movie.

While many Disney Channel Originals seem to involve magic, this one took it to a new level. Tyra Banks is a gorgeous model and fierce business woman in real life,

but they dumbed her down to Barbie level in this movie rather than taking the chance to promote inner beauty and intelligence.  

The cartoon series had its moments but there were always certain things that were a little too quirky, like the talking baby and grandma's crazy behavior. The movie was that

times 10 and too much to handle. 

The sequel made it to this list to show how far Zenon fell. From saving the space station in the original to now finding a celebrity to communicate with aliens,

the concept took a turn for the weird. Although Disney Channel Originals are no stranger to alien movies, only one involving Zenon could make it onto our list.

Pixel Perfect is like an early version of Her mixed with holograms where a girl is jealous of a hologram, a boy had a crush on one, and

somehow the AI version took over a girl's body. This Disney movie was pretty out there, but the performances were entertaining.

Science project gone wrong? More like the smartest kid in the world develops a clone. While the ending is very strange and wouldn't make sense in a non-Disney movie, everything

turns out alright and the clone isn't disposed of which would be even more tragic.

While Cadet Kelly used to be a personal favorite for the fun flare Kelly brought to the strict ROTC life, it kind of downplays the intensity of what military academy students

actually go through, bringing it closer to the bottom of the list.

This is just a fun movie about a kid who does magic and a guy who's trying to kill him. Wait, what? The kid has actual magical powers and his

pretend mentor is trying to steal them. It's a fun but dark watch.

Eddie has a dream and makes it happen. While a little laughable at times, it goes to show how a little hard work and determination can accomplish anything!

If you weren't watching Kim Possible as a child what were you doing?! The movie was totally worth watching because it's when Ron and Kim finally get together!

The sequel to the hit original was the last of the decent Halloweentown movies, and that's why it made this list. Kalabar attempts to get revenge after his plot from

the first movie was foiled. Of course, he fails again. Please don't watch the rest of them, you'll only regret it.

Centering on a boogeyman, this is by far one of the creepiest movies that the Disney Channel has ever produced. If you feel like getting scared for the evening, try

it out.

Betrayal, vengeance, revenge, kidnapping, what more could a movie need? A teen's presentation is stolen, and when he tries to prove it, he ends up kidnapping his principals dog. He

makes a mess throughout the movie, but it's nice to see an ending where things go right and the culprits are served their just desserts!

Wendy Wu is like the real life version of Mulan except it's modern day and she's dealing with a mystical being. For a magical time, and until they make the

live action Mulan, just watch Wendy Wu.

Movies about the troubles friends go through can hit home sometimes. In The Cheetah Girls, the characters rise to fame together and have power struggles, but in the end things

work out and their friendship stays strong.

One of Disney Channel's biggest successes is High School Musical, the only original to land a sequel in theaters. While the movie is cheesy, it's hard to resist the

catchy tunes and budding romance between Zac and Vanessa.

This is basically the real-life version of The Little Mermaid except it's about a boy, and instead of becoming a human he becomes a merman. At the time, Chez

Starbuck was a teen heartthrob so this had to be a favorite.

This was a Halloween classic for Disney Channel. While I totally understand Shawn's predicament about getting passed over for a job, I don't think haunting a movie theater is how

to get your way. The movie has Scooby-Doo vibes and is entertaining the whole time!

A Disney Channel Christmas Original, The Ultimate Christmas Present is a nice movie about a white Christmas that becomes unstoppable, even for Santa Claus. The movie has a lot

of laughs and is about family coming together. What's not to like?

Who wouldn't want to watch a movie about three kids trying to save their mom from being taken by a vampire? As a kid this was a Halloween favorite!

Jump In has similar themes to Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off; someone pursuing their passion even when it's not what their parents want for them. This, combined with young

romance, makes this movie one for the books!

As one of the best Halloween movies ever made, Underwraps was an adventure that left you with many questions, like why the parents of these children didn't question where they were

on a weeknight. It doesn't have the same terrifying magic if you're watching as an adult, so if you want some screams you might want to try a real mummy

movie. 

A movie about tradition and adventure, Johnny Tsunami takes you on a wild ride filled with family times and surfing like you've never seen!

We all love the movie about the new kid who moves to a new city, makes new friends, and earns his place. While this movie has it's charms (boy defeats

bully and wins girl) it has a Lord of the Flies quality that takes it out of top place. 

One of the sweetest Disney Channel Originals to date, Susie Q follows the story of ghostly Susie, killed in a car crash in the 1950s, and Zach, the boy

she haunts 40 years later. Together the are on a mission to save her parents' home from an evil banker. Unfortunately, due to some more mature themes like drunk driving,

death, and foreclosure, Disney didn't air the movie past the '90s. It's a lost gem.

This is one of the best Disney Halloween movies ever! It's about a girl discovering she is a witch and taking a trip with her grandmother to a magical world.

What's not to like?! Think of it as a more basic version of Harry Potter.

This movie was crazy in all sorts of ways and therein lies its appeal. Zenon was a stellar girl living in a stellar world who got grounded to Earth. She

had literally the best of both worlds!

This is one of the more serious movies produced by Disney Channel, but it is definitely worth watching. It's about death and growing up and trying to find a little

bit of light when everything seems to be going wrong. They definitely don't make movies like this anymore.

Although based on a true story, Double Teamed differs a bit from what actually happened. However, it's worth watching simply for the message of how siblings can be dysfunctional

and why it's necessary to sometimes put your feelings aside for the betterment of others. Yes, the movies used to actually have real life lessons.

Another movie about siblings not getting along, You Wish takes on the scenario of what your life would be like if you didn't have a sibling anymore, and how you'd

come to regret it. Family is important, bruh!

You can't do it all, no matter how hard you try, and sometimes you have to make difficult decisions. It's even harder when your younger sister starts to be better

at your game than you. Basically, everyone's life in a nutshell, right? Lucy Beale is tough as nails in this action packed movie that makes you appreciate hard work!

We've seen it in almost every TV show and movie; who wouldn't want to have grown up and gone to school on the sunny shores of Southern California beaches?  Well

Brink had that plus Erik von Detten, who was a major babe in a '90s. Throw in a little competition with the skating and this movie was 🔥.

Luck of the Irish has Ryan Merriman in it, so it automatically gets bumped to the top! The movie is about cultural appreciate and learning more about your heritage.

Any movie that is about getting in touch with roots and self-acceptance is an A rating.

This is one of Disney's better movies. It's about a young man who is blind, moves to a new town, and struggles to fit in. The determination he demonstrates when

he goes out for the wrestling team and how he overcomes obstacles makes it worth watching.

A sequel to Horse Sense featuring all the Lawrence brothers had to make it to the top of our list. Why? The older brothers are shirtless a few times

and there are pirates. Danger and hot dudes, we're all in.

This movie brings back the nostalgia from The Mighty Ducks – where a team finds a coach that inspires them and they rise to the top. Who can resist

a feel good movie like that?

Ever feel like your parents just forgot about you while dealing with another sibling? How about five other siblings? That's the plot of Quints, and its main character, Jaime,

finally finds her peace in art. So why we like it? It's relatable on a lot of levels, and with adult coloring books we understand why art is a good

outlet.

This movie makes us hope that the Echo Dot won't actually take over our homes. But back in the day, who didn't wish that this could be their dream home?

You Lucky Dog was hands down one of the most underrated and best Disney Channel Original Movies! It's about the literal connection between a man and his pup and

how they solve a crime. Need I say more?

Sometimes it takes walking a mile in someone else's shoes to understand what you take for granted. If you want to watch a movie that makes you appreciate what you

have, this is it.

Gender roles, discrimination, and feminism in one movie? Hallelujah! It's a must see.

Miracle in Lane 2 was one of the few Disney Channel movies based on a true story. This one is about Justin Yoder, who was confined to a wheelchair but

refused to let his disability define him and eventually became a soapbox racer. Give it a try if you want to feel inspired. There's a reason it's a personal favorite!

By far one of the best Disney movies, and almost our number one, The Color of Friendship is about racial prejudices during the apartheid. Why is it one of the

best? Considering what's been going on the past few years in America, it seems like we haven't learned a lot and should take a lesson from these two young girls.

Why does Tru Confessions win the number one spot on our list? It has the best acting by a young Shia LeBouf but is also about the struggles of a

boy who has autism, the difficulties he and his family face, and what people around him do. It's a great movie for some reflection, and hopefully one that'll get us

to do some good in the world and treat others better.
